Intermediate Military Analyst 1
Job Description:
Lead Analyst for team providing on-site enterprise programmatic and systems assessments and strategic planning support to a large U.S. Government military staff.
Successful candidates will manage and coordinate the development and execution of fiscal year analytic agendas (studies and assessments) required to generate the analytic underpinnings to support staff and Flag level budgetary decisions. Candidates will lead team in the utilization of operations research processes and tools (including M&S) to conduct specific analysis and studies. Candidates will support annual strategic planning and DoD PPBE and POM/PR processes and requirements. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications:
- BS, MS or PhD in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Operations Research or equivalent experience
- 7-12 years of military service or comparable experience providing direct support to the military
- Staff experience with large military organizations – preferably Navy
- Team Leadership experience
- Experience with Navy computer systems and architecture strongly desired
- Knowledge and experience in DoD PPBE and POM/PR processes and requirements
- Intermediate level skills with MS Office programs (PPT, XLS, DOC, MDB)
- Intermediate level knowledge sharing web portal operations and management experience and skills
- Experience with Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools strongly desired
- Experience supporting program or resource offices strongly desired
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
