Mathematical Operations Analyst
Job Description:
PhD in a physical science desired for technical military operations analysis position. Position requires excellent academic credentials, the ability to communicate technical subjects clearly and confidently and the ability to research and learn both technical and non-technical subjects quickly. Previous military or operations analysis experience helpful, but not required.
The successful candidate will: perform operations analysis using Metron developed simulation tools, MATLAB and Microsoft Excel. Interact with customers, both onsite and offsite, gather requirements and data, write and present briefings and contribute to the development of Metron tools. Contribute to technical team activities (design, modeling, prototyping, coding, testing and documentation) in full-life cycle of products.
Qualifications:
Required
- MS or PhD in a physical science
- Very strong technical education and accomplishments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Highly Desired
- Active DoD security clearance
- Significant programming experience in JAVA or C++
- Mathematical, simulation or physical modeling experience
- Military analysis experience, including C4I, Naval operations and tactics
- Experience teaching technical subjects at the undergraduate or graduate level
